Demeter Association, Inc.: Certifies Biodynamic ® farms, vineyards, processors, and products in the United States.
Earth Legacy Agriculture: Formed to support Biodynamic producers, whether long-standing or under transition. Our education and consultation services provide insight and direction to producers as they develop their individual approach. We have been making Biodynamic Preparations on our farm in Virginia since 1976. We produce and distribute Quality Biodynamic Preparations, Microbial Activators, and host various Educational Workshops.
Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics, Inc.: This non-profit institute has been supporting gardeners and farmers in their practice of biodynamics since 1985. They provide:
- Biodynamic Preparations of the highest quality for plants, fields and compost.
- Educational Workshops and Consultation to gardeners and farmers.
- Books on biodynamics and related topics.
- Applied Biodynamics, our quarterly newsletter.
- E-news updates to keep you up-to-date on biodynamic happenings.
- Research to support the practice of biodynamics.
The Nature Institute: Founded in 1998, The Nature Institute is a small, independent not-for-profit organization in upstate New York with a proven track record for incisive and thoughtful research studies, publications, and education programs. The Institute serves as a local, national, and international forum for research, education, and the exchange of ideas about the re-visioning of science and technology in an effort to realign humanity with nature. Staff members and adjunct researchers/faculty (see below), have authored books and articles while also speaking at conferences, leading workshops, training teachers, and lecturing widely.
Spikenard Honeybee Sanctuary: Their mission is to promote sustainable and biodynamic beekeeping through education, experience-based research and a honeybee sanctuary and to help restore the health and vitality of the honeybee worldwide. Their 25 acre sanctuary is located in Floyd, Virginia – surrounded by pastures, forest and an adjacent organic farm – and is home to over 30 honeybee hives.
Yggdrasil Land Foundation: Collaborative non-profit land preservation organization with a mission to catalyze the viability of biodynamic, organic, and sustainable farming.
